Trying to lose stomach/central obesity issue. Otherwise normal and appear skinny but my waist hip is shocking. Heard IF good for reducing waist?
Notes: ok so this was the first time trying an actual intentional fast. I totally binged after. I have a history of BED but I thought I managed to get that behind me as it was years ago. I guess not :-( I feel like IF just isn’t for me. I might try again with a different food to break the fast with but I’m honestly feeling kind of discouraged.

I fell off the fasting lifestyle for a while, but I’m back! I just had a hard time mustering the willpower to fast correctly, and also I had family in town so it is hard to eat according to their schedules. I’ve decided that I want to start 16:8 fasting again, and this time I am going to count calories. I kind of hate counting calories because it is so much work, but I think at this point it is what is holding me back from actually seeing results because even if I do fast properly, I might be eating too much during that window anyways. I’m gonna start with a calorie deficit to lose .5lbs per week, and we’ll see how it goes!
A sidenote: how do people deal with being motion sick while fasting? I find if I’m particularly hungry and the bus I ride is whipping it around corners, I get motion sick. And once I am motion sick, eating fixes it right away. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for any advice.

One month today! Down 6 lbs. and 3% body fat. My skin is the clearest it has been in a decade and I feel great! Overall goal is to reduce risk of diabetes as it runs (rampant) in my family. CW 146 / GW 130
