Just about 2 months for me now. I started with 16:8, then moved to more 18:8 and 20:4. I’m not being overly strict (a few drinks on the weekends), but adding a 40 hour fast once per week. Height 177cm. SW 84kg CW 76Kg GW 72Kg. Activity is 6k steps per day. Biggest win is that heartburn is just about gone.
Slowly extending the fast from 13:11 to 14:10, weight is jumping around more than I would like but can see body fat going down slowly. Started naturally moving much more with lots of gardening and packing things.
18:6 just water, black coffee and black tea
Switched from 16:8 a couple of weeks ago, I eat at 2pm and dinner is usually 6-7pm but I find I’m not that hungry. A couple of times i think I’ve binged too much and i feel sick.Tips for how to break my fast without gorging myself?
Almost on month 9 of my weight loss journey! I’m excited to see how far I’ve come even if the progress is slowed slightly.
Going to have tacos for lunch today, been wanting them for a while and substituted turkey rather than beef. Supplementing the meal with grapes, strawberries and pretzels with hummus, along with a protein bar, so it comes out to around 1200 calories, and then I’ll have some wiggle room for chocolate to get it to my goal of 1500 for the day.
I’m on day 48 of clean 16:8 (sometimes longer if I’m busy or sleep in). My weight has been going slightly up and down, but not really changing overall (I’m +0.2 from last week), and I’m frustrated af because I have a nearly 1,000 cal deficit every day. I’m not sure what to tweak and I’m getting discouraged. :(

Currently doing at least 18:6 fast daily. Sometimes I can push it to OMAD. I’m am also doing an hour on my stationary bike every evening. Feeling focused and like it might happen this time. I am starting to look forward to that grind on the bike. Last time I tried losing weight I dreaded the workout. I haven’t had alcohol in over s month and I haven’t drank any soda or sugary drinks since 12/31/22.
43 hours into a 46.5 hour fast, water and coffee only.
Starting Sunday afternoon I transitioned from 23:1 to 3x42, which is why my current fast is a somewhat random length. Once I break my fast this afternoon, I’ll be fasting from 8 PM tonight until 2 PM on Thursday: so 42 hours. Then I’ll have a 6 hour eating window, with a 1500 calorie max.
I have some strong goals for myself so I really hope this new protocol will help me get there!
