I’ve not posted here before, but I had successfully done IF prior to the pandemic start and had gone from 340 to 260 over about a year and a half. The pandemic hit, being confined was tough, I went on some depression meds, and have now gained it all back and exceeded the weight limit of my own scale (I think it’s 350).
I just finished my first 18:6, and though I did a splash of half and half with a packet of sweet n’ low in my coffee this morning, I’m less concerned about ketosis at the moment and am focused on not eating a days worth of food after my kids go to bed after 3 meals and snacking.
Pre-pandemic there was a light at the end of the tunnel and now I’ve just boarded the train - again. I figure this time I could use a sense of community rather than upvoting but not contributing. I love seeing everyone’s journey and look forward to getting back to where I was in 2020.
Thanks in advance for the support!
I’m on a similar journey and similar backstory. I went from 380 to 245 with IF and extended fasts prepandemic. Covid hit and every aspect of my life fell apart. Regained back to 350 over 2 years. Started up again back in November and I’m already pushing back down to 300.
We’ve got this!!

that’s a solid achievable goal. huge first step and very smart tactic.
