Does snake juice affect your hormones?

I am new to the diet. I stumbled into this only a few days ago. I haven’t been able to read the book outlining the diet yet.

I was getting wicked Charlie Horses and after a Google search found that electrolytes help with Charlie Horses so two weeks ago I started drinking a quart jar of snake juice daily. It has really helped me in many ways. I am pretty good at hydrating myself with straight water (I drink about 3/4 of a gallon daily) but besides the Charlie Horses I have very dry skin and hair. I have a thyroid condition which I take a compounded thyroid hormone to balance. I am also on (or more appropriately in) estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. These hormones have been very low so my doctor has inserted pellets into me to compensate (oral and vaginal administration did nothing-I just do not process them).

In the last week I have been feeling very hyper and the last 5 days I have had what I can only describe as hypertension. My heart rate is slightly elevated (at rest it is about 85 bpm) and my blood pressure is slightly elevated from what my normal low blood pressure readings. (102/85 vs 98/72 before snake juice.)

I have a call into my doctor so I can have blood work on my hormone levels. I am very confident I am either hyper thyroid or hyper estrogen based on my symptoms.

It will take a few weeks to know for certain what is going on.

My question is could I have too much potassium? This is the only thing I think that would cause my symptoms.

I use the recipe: 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 tsp potassium 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp magnesium 1 quart of water followed by an additional quart of water

TLDR: could I be taking too much potassium I have a slightly elevated heart rate, blood pressure and hypertension symptoms though nothing is in a danger zone.

Be careful, you could give yourself a heart attack…I recently had a fu on dehydration, dr was so against me supplementing electrolytes, he said I didn’t need to do that unless I was running marathons daily, but clearly I still got dehydrated..I’m still going to use salts in my water, but one of the things he mentioned was that he was concerned I could disrupt heart function and that it is very important potassium is specifically balanced and I should not mess with it. He did scare me a bit…So I’m planning on being a lot more conservative with it, but still use it 🙈
