I’ve been trying to build some muscle while also shedding some fat to improve muscle definition.
For a while I’ve dabbled in intermittent fasting, not strictly but about 5 days a week, and I’ve been curious about trying a longer fast to kick through a plateau.
Am I shooting myself in the foot as far a muscle building goes by not consuming protein? Should i save fasting for my rest days or work out when fasting to prevent muscle loss and encourage my body to burn fat instead?
My favourite approach is work out on the opposite side of the clock from your first meal. Workout in the morning and eat in the evening or vice versa; workout evening eat in the morning.I dont like to overlap the two systems but let them thrive independantly.
