First time 7day water fast

Hey everyone - I been seeing alot of videos etc on fasting. I already intermittent fast subconsciously. I only eat 1-2 meals a day between noon-6pm. Won’t eat again til noon but am looking to try a 7day water fast…

Is this something I can just dive right into? Aside from water should I consume anything? I know that sounds ridiculous giving it’s called a water fast but wasn’t sure if it’s good to just drop everything and consume water for 7 days.. would love to hear feedback. Thank you!

I think it all depends on the person. Like others have said, monitor your electrolytes and learn about the different symptoms associated with deficiencies. It’s good that you’re not on any medications. My very first 72 hour fast turned into a 30 day fast, so it all just depends on how you feel and how your body reacts to the early adaptation phase.

Wish you the best of luck!

A seven day fast right out of the gate isn’t unobtainable, but it will be difficult. I’d say aim for a 48 hour fast first. Achieve that, then do a 72 hour fast, etc. But yes, just water if you’re a purist. If you’re not a purist, black coffee and regular tea is also okay. You’ll want to start adding in electrolytes (sodium and potassium) around day three.
