Answer

You would only do a dry fast that long if you had a medical condition you were trying to heal. You don’t need to dry fast for that long if it’s about weight loss. There was a post here yesterday where the girl did 48 hour fasts every week and lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks.

Answer

you asked the same question two times now. First for 5 days dry fast and now for 20 days! Have you ever even dry fasted 2 days so far? If not, try that first and if you are determined enough, slowly build up to 20 days if you really want to do it. See for yourself how much you will lose and maintain most of all..

Dry fasting isn’t some magical, quick and easy weight loss method when you can’t maintain the weight loss. You’re either going to mess up and do harm to yourself or break down and binge when you’re fasting with the same attitude with which you are asking your questions in this sub.
I’ve lost 77lbs with wet and dry fasting in the last year and I’ve invested most of my thoughts and energy into maintaining, eating and healthy habits part after I’ve properly researched safe fasting methods.

Answer

I think the difficulty and dangers of extended dry fasting depend largely on how much excess weight you are carrying.

People with little extra weight will enter a detoxing stage much faster and have a more challenging fast.

People with a lot of extra weight seem to be able to do many more days with much less difficulty as they are not in a deep detoxing state.

That being said I don’t think anyone should jump into anything more than 2 days the first time. Do a few 2 day fasts spaced out and gradually build up adding like a day or two each time but always listen to your body.

Is also very important how you prepare to go into it and how you refeed coming out of it whenever you are dry fasting 3 days or more.

Answer

It will take an enormous amount of practice to get to where you’d be able to do 20 days successfully.

The problem is as you enter around the 10th day, your blood will begin to thicken due to a lack of hydration, which will start to strain all of your organs. This will only get worse as you approach day 20.

I would also believe you’d need to be extremely isolated, and probably dry fasting near a large body of water for this to be remotely successful.
