has anyone found a miracle 'cure' for sagging skin?

i searched this sub and there seems to be a lot of suggestions to do longer fasts (>24h). my concern is that i will lose even more weight as a result. i’m already in a good place as far as my body is concerned. and frankly my friends seem concerned…one that i hadn’t seen in years straight up said ‘i liked your face more when it was fuller’. i don’t know how i can gain weight only in my face, so i am wondering if i can do something to look less older and sadder…

i’m a 50 y.o. man and went from around 200 lbs to under 170 now (i never weigh myself). thank you!

I’ve been smearing my face with body oil every night but yeah, it’s bad (52F) after losing 35 pounds. I discovered recently I have wrinkles in front of my ears now. My freaking ears! Apparently I had fat pockets in front of my ears?? Losing weight in your 50s sure doesn’t make a person look younger. Luckily I feel much younger, though, so that’s good.

Retinol and any activity that stimulates collagen. Worth jumping on a skincare sub, or googling “skincare / cream for skin tightening”. I’ve just ordered some Paula’s Choice body-specific AHA and Retinol treatments/lotions, but yeah – there’s no magic bullet. I’ve tried RF and cool-therapy and some more hardcore laser-y stuff. Dermarolling apparently is also great at stimulating collagen if used in conjunction with the right skincare. I’ve also heard amazing things about autophagy, but it’s all a long route regardless I think. It’s… trial and error and tweaking, doing everything and waiting. Unless you go the surgery route. Retinol, caffeine-containing creams, vitamin C and hyaularonic acid-based topicals have been the best treatment for me so far. Also, filling out the area with muscle makes a huge difference.

Microneedling , plasma pens , or co2 lasers , but you’d probably need several rounds . It depends on how much sag there actually is . I’d just go the surgery route . Personally . There are SO many super talented doctors

If you’re willing to get a little help, look into Sculptra. It’s an injectable developed for facial wasting and is now approved for cosmetic uses. It stimulates your body’s natural collagen production and looks much more natural than other “fillers”. Not cheap, but it’s cheaper than surgery and lasts up to 5 years.
