How do you do your fasting schedule to lose weight?

I am getting back into fasting and I’d like to see what has been working for some of you. What worked for me before obviously didn’t work in the long run because I’m back to where I was.

What does your 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 look like?

I just sit down and eat once a day. The meal itself can last from half an hour up to several. The fasting window ranges anywhere between 14 to 36 hours, depending on whether the previous meal was positioned early or late. No explicit calorie-counting, close to zero activity, some minimal common sense – meals revolve around predominantly fresh produce and more generally foods that I find challenging to overeat (meat, eggs, veggies, fish, fruits, little else). M / 30s / height = 178 cm (5 ft 10 in) / SW = 97 kg (214 lb) / CW = 63 kg (139 lb) +/- 2 kg (4.4 lb) fluctuations / active weight loss period = 10-12 months / in maintenance since spring

Hey there! I started with 18:6, usualy a salad with protein for lunch then big meal for dinner, with some nuts/dried fruits as snacks in-btween if needed. Less tha 2 months in I switched to OMAD. Now I’m doing mostly OMAD with ocasional 48 or 72h fasts, typicaly one or the other once a week.

I’m not super strict on my schedule, and I don’t count calories since OMAD. The only metric I’m tracking is my weight every morning, so long as I’m not loosing weight too fast or slow I’m happy. I try to aim for avrg lost of 2lb/week.

Results have been a 85lb lost in just under a year.

Good luck and hope that helps :)
