I work a client facing professional job. Meetings in person, via zoom, on the emails and phone all day. 3 days in office 2 at home.
I’ve done 16:8 fasts which have worked for me but I want to try a longer fast maybe 24-48 hours.
I just don’t understand how I’d work and function and think with no food. Anyone else with similar job that fasts ? Any tips?
TIA
Food is something we are told is needed for our main survival (this is true, until a certain point). Fortunately I don’t believe it is in this case, here is why; now a days we are suppose eat so many meals, in some cases 5 to 6 times a day and after many years of high caloric intake our body is now used to be always full. The reason we assimilate the food this way is to keep people eating and the money flowing for the big corps. For example autophagy which we used to reach maybe on a daily basis is now never reach. AND THIS IS THE ISSUE. We are not using our full survival skill. Today If we don’t eat we still we die, this is thhave our fat stored in with us and its still a main source of energy in our body. Once we reach those high stages of fasting our body takes this as “ups we are dying we must survive” it starting “heal/ recovering damaged cells. The process is possible because our body turns fat in to Ketosis. Ketosis the the answer you are looking for. This is your main Fuel while fasting.
I only have experience with stuff like 16:8 to 20:4
Do you exercise at all? If yes, I would do something like start at 6 pm, build a routine in early in the nex morning (preferably low intensity cardio). That always helps with getting the metabolsim to do what it needs to do.
