It gets a lot easier, but I recommend starting small… fast for 16 hours with an 8 hour eating window, and see how that feels. Then extend your fasts as you feel ready.
Since I am officially doing OMAD, the best way to make my next 23 hours of fasting feel good is to plan a very nutritious and satiating meal for that day. Lots of lean protein, healthy fats, minimal carbs. I end with some fruit so it feels like dessert. Whole foods instead of anything processed, in as many colors as I can fit on my plate! Black coffee with electrolyte drops, water, tea.
Embrace the suck. Don’t fight, accept that you’re not going to feel the same not eating as you did before. You will reach an accommodation in time.
After that, make sure your last meal has a lot of protein and don’t skimp on fat. Avoid sugar and go low on other carbs. Drink a lot of water.
Can I ask what you’re drinking during your fast? I’ve messed with clean-fasting vs. non-clean fasting and I can tell you right now - even if I drink something as deceptively innocent as earl grey tea, I find myself absolutely famished after drinking anything with flavor. I stick to water, black coffee, black tea, or plain sparkling water.
