I’m an 18 year old male wanting to fast for fat loss. How do I prepare?

I have a week off school and i’m wanting to water fast. Is there any side effects to giving up food and only drinking water at my age?

I also train MMA so i’m wondering if it would still be possible to train when i’m only fuelled by water.

Yes it’s possible. With that intense training you will need to keep up on replacing your electrolytes. You will be dizzy and feel like crap if you don’t. There are many recipes in this sub that you can use.

As far as preparing… fasting is easier if you go low carb (20 grams or less a day) for 3-4 days before fasting. It’s not necessary but it will cut a lot of the hunger pangs the first couple days of fasting.
