Insomnia?

Have many of you suffered from insomnia after starting?

I recently started 18-6 schedule and soon my sleep got worse. I started waking up after 4 hours of sleep. After studying insomnia and looking into reasons related to eating and blood sugar, I found that insomnia can be caused by too low blood sugar during the night. Low blood sugar causes a release of cortisol, which wakes up the brain.

Any suggestions? Should I move my timing later to the night? Should I adjust my calories or amount of proteins and fats? Any success stories related to fasting and insomnia?

Answer

I struggle to sleep when I’m hungry so I finish my eating window about 2/3 hours before bed. I’m not a morning person so can’t eat for a good few hours in the morning anyway so it helps me get extra hours in during the day and then eat at night
