Introducing exercise

SW: 70kg Height: 5’2 CW: 64

Hi guys, so I am 12 weeks into my weight loss journey. Not paying much attention to scales as we all know they’re not very accurate and their are many things that can affect it. I have noticed a lot of body recomposition and NSV like clothes fitting a lot better. I now want to introduce fasted workouts.

What kind of easy workouts would you recommend?

Answer

I started with a simple bodyweight routine every other day. I can go dig out the goofy little infographic, but I’d also recommend finding something over on r/bodyweightfitness if you want to go that route.

My advice, come up with some fitness goals you’d like to achieve and find training programs that works towards those. Maybe that’s a specific aesthetic, running a 5k, doing a pull-up, etc. The more our fitness can be its own thing with its own progression and goals the better the long-term sustainability and feedback into all aspects of health and weight loss.

Personally, I’ll talk anyone’s ear off about just weight lifting and walking. At least for me, that’s the best combination on many metrics.

Answer

I started with just walking to get myself used to working out again. Eventually I incorporated walking, jogging and running while also lifting weights once or twice a week. I played hockey growing up so now I’m just ice skating and not going to the gym
