Is chlorine water ok during a deep dry fast?

I’d like to take a dip in my pool/jacuzzi tonight. I’m 48 hours in.

Answer

Sure. That’s what’s called a soft dry fast. Some people take a shower, some people brush their teeth - there is no dry fasting police who will come pull you out.

Be careful you don’t stay in too long. Your body is already under stress, and being in a hot tub is another stress (even though it seems relaxing). It’s going to be easy to push yourself too far by being in their too long and heating your body faster than it can try to cool you off.

Listen to your body carefully, and maybe only go in a few minutes at a time to see how you react

Answer

I would recommend avoiding your hot tub during the fast. Ideally any water you touch should be clean or well filtered. You will soak the water in through your skin and any chemicals in it which is not ideal during a fast that is trying to cleanse your body of these things.

Sunlight is fine during the fast. The reason he cautions against too much sun following a 7 day df is because at that point you are rebuilding and and the new cells you are generating are a little raw and sensitive (something like that but you get the point). Likewise you should eat very clean coming out of the fast.
