Is fasting when you are sick a good idea?

So best I’ve done is 24 hours, i usually do intermittent fasting, but these days I’ve been sick and i don’t really follow any order, not like i eat in a messy and overeating way i just don’t have an order or whatever, i wanted to do at least 24 hours this weekend but as i mentioned I’m sick, i searched if it’s okay to do it anyway and there are different answers, so have anyone done it? Should I do it at first place? I’m not that bad, maybe just a cold, I’ll also definitely drink tea during the fast

Answer

Yes! Whenever I get a headache the first thing I “do” is stop eating.

Your body spends tons of energy on digestion, when you’re sick you’re already weak and powerless, so adding more tasks to your body (digesting) will only hold it back.

Fasting and taking vitamin c supplements every hour is the way. You will never experience headaches the same.

Not a doctor, I read about it in a book a while ago and am currently speaking from personal experience.

Answer

Well, I have coronavirus and literally zero appetite. I eat once a day and feel good. I also do some other healthy stuff(long walks, Buteyko breathing) which makes my appetite go even lower(while improving metabolic efficiency), so it’s fine.
