I just consulted with my spouse who uses them. I’m going to summarize his comments below. I apologize for any formatting mistakes. I’m trying to fit a lot of words on a tiny phone screen so I can read what I’m trying to type but sometimes I mess things up. Lol.

  1. He fasts roughly every other day. Occasionally skips a fast day due to special events like birthday parties.

  2. He also eats a keto diet. Does occasionally have a cheat food like a Friday fish fry meals, which isn’t keto due to the breadcrumbs on the fish. He is currently on some sort of “maintenance” diet at the moment. I can ask for more details on that if you are curious.

  3. He does two hours of martial arts training on most Saturdays each month, plus another two hours of a different but equally intensive martial art on most Sundays each month. Occasionally he skips a class or the teacher cancels a class due to holidays, vehicle issues, or such.

  4. He is type 2 diabetic. He also has heart issues from the diabetes. He mentions that he does have mild blood pressure issues due to his heart attack, but isn’t sure if the Gatorade would or does affect that. When standing up too fast, he occasionally experiences a bit of dizziness or weakness for a moment. His doctors told him it’s likely to happen when he doesn’t drink enough liquid or water. Doesn’t know if the Gatorade zero makes that worse or better. If you’re worried about minerals, add a pinch of Himalayan sea salt to your water. Due to his medical issues, he refuses to give medical advice because it’s complicated and easy to mess things up, plus you don’t mention any health issues of your own. Thus, he advises you go to your doctor and ask them about it. I say that most doctors can also be emailed about stuff like this if you can’t get an appointment quickly.

  5. He has lost weight, roughly 45 pounds in three to four months.

  6. He mentions that he’s heard of people adding lemon or other citrus to water, but he has to be careful of the fructose. It can spike or mess up his blood glucose if he isn’t careful. We arent sure if that’s a concern for you or not.

  7. Forgot this earlier sorry lol. To stay hydrated, he adds two packets of Gatorade zero to a gallon of water every work day and drinks it throughout his work shift in an office.

  8. On the weekends, he can move around more and not be stuck at a desk, so he drinks all sorts of things not just Gatorade zero, like sugarless iced tea or whatever sounds tasty when he’s looking for a drink.

If you have any other questions, ask me and I’ll ask him for you.
