I do OMAD and usually have my meal in the evening (dinner).
I do a few short-term labor-intensive construction jobs per year, which made fasting impossible until I tried moving my meal to lunch on workdays. That worked like a charm for me.
During the time you do this labor intensive job, why don’t you move your meal around lunch time? That should solve the problem.
I do OMAD. During weekdays I eat around lunch time and during weekend I eat dinner just to be in sync with my social groups. Then on Monday I do a shorter fast and go back around lunch time again. You are supposed to switch up your feeding window anyway just so your body doesn’t get used to it.
I’ve combined IF with low carb/high fat. It’s very filling. I either get no hunger pangs or they’re very fleeting late morning.
I walk all day doing random tasks (property maintenance stuff). After work I’ll try to fit in a 20 min workout and/or a 12k run about every 3rd day.
And then eat my only meal of the day that evening.
There’s this chart from a book called ‘A Fat Lot of Good’. I never read the book but it’s an easy visual guide.
I’m pretty good about staying with the foods listed in green.
