Let me start by saying this was supposed to be a six day fast, not a three day fast. Low and behold it was an absolutely terrible idea to watch The Menu movie lol. Shocking. Anyways I couldn’t take it after watching her eat that damn cheeseburger so I had some bone broth and then ate a full meal shortly after. Womp womp. However!! I have decided that instead of giving up, I’m just going to keep going and do another 72 hours! One meal is better than stopping altogether so let’s focus on the positives right?
The first day was really easy. Each day I took my electrolytes (I used Redmond Real Salt they are the best!) and just sailed thru some hunger grumbles. Day two I experienced much more nausea when having caffeine, and didn’t sleep till 5am. The insomnia was real. I will say though, day two was one of the most productive days I’ve had in at least a year! Wow my focus was amazing. Day three (today) brought some extremely intense nausea that kept me from functioning, so I drank some apple cider vinegar in my water and it fixed that. It was also an immensely productive day but I felt like total shit with muscle soreness for no reason and super low energy. My mental clarity tho? Just wow. So yeah, I broke tonight but I’m looking forward to the next three days continuing on. Thanks to this sub for teaching me how to safely fast!
Nice work! Just stay positive and give it your best effort. It’s not always all or nothing. Like you said, continue with a three day fast or take a reset day and try 6 again. Do what you feel is best and don’t get discouraged!
