So here I am day 1, and nervous.
Stats: I’m 5’6 F, 250 lbs. I wear a size 24 (us sizes) and have a 53” waist. When i wear leggings and a shirt my spouse says I look like a cartoon worth skinny arms and legs with giant torso.
As I get started, I would like to know what pitfalls to avoid, and tips. My goal is to start with 8:16. My big concern is this: I have meds I take when I wake up and before bed. My 8 hours have to be noon till 8 based on when my lunch break is and when I’m off work and dinner is ready.

I recommend reading The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung, watching vids on his YT channel and listening to podcasts 2 of his team do called “The Fasting Method.” Vids by The Gallen Foundation are also excellent.
This book really helped me dial in the eating, it also covers maintenance, so finally no more yo-yoing. I combined it with IF. https://www.amazon.com/End-Your-Carb-Confusion-Customize/dp/1628604298 Don’t do Audible, there are key lists and graphics you will miss. There are 3 different carb level approaches for you to pick from and the author, a doctor who runs a metabolic health clinic at Duke really simplifies the approach and makes success more likely.
