milk and banana combination

I remember somebody asking here about the potential harm caused by consumption of bananas with milk. In ayurveda, this combination is recommended against. Well, I randomly found a research paper about it https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8377192/

Answer

The paper doesn’t really establish harm in a meaningful way, even in rats. If you for some reason trust the paper, don’t only eat bananas with milk. Other than that, this may not even be a legitimate journal (elsevier is famous for hosting a large number of pseudo-scientific journals because they’re profitable).

Answer

While I find it fascinating when science confirms the wisdom of ancient Ayurvedic practices like golden milk, Ayurveda has some iffy seeming eating advice. Like trying to throw off body PH through food.

I’m not giving up my banana, milk, cocoa blender treat without an explanation of what exactly is the problem.

Answer

I’m not giving up my favorite smoothie. I don’t care about smelly rats eating nanas and milky.

(Also reading the limitations of the study makes me wonder how valid it is. Ill write this study off as confirmation bias.)

Answer

you guys need to chill, he just posted a scientific article that goes into the same direction as a form of “medical practice” that isnt too scientific.
Not sure what his intention was, but i find it interesting anyways.
