no fasting for 2 to 3 weeks after booster shot?

So I’m scheduled to get my Shingles booster next week… along with another booster that will go unnamed! The problem is, I was already planning to start a 21 day fast the week after. I read another fasting group’s post that states you should wait 2-3 weeks after getting vaccinated to support the immune system.

(When I asked if there were some studies to support this, my post got removed and I got blocked.🤷)

The only thing I can find about fasting and Covid shots all seem geared towards Ramadan, so that doesn’t really help. I’m just looking for information, not medical advice. Can anyone point me in the right direction or provide some studies? TIA!

Answer

I assume you read that in r/fasting. That sub is pseudoscience junk and tinpot tyranny. I asked this question of Stephen Hendricks, author of the Oldest Cure in the World, (he was also banned from there) and there just isn’t any good evidence out there. There is a time during fasting when the immune system isn’t as strong I think. I stopped a fast when I got the booster. Perhaps waiting a week or so is an OK idea but there’s no evidence either way looks like.
