Physical job + IF

I was just wondering if anyone is doing IF with a physical job? And if so how do you schedule your eating window?

I work in a warehouse (the dreaded amazon lol) and I am having a hard time finding the best window for me to eat. I’m not hungry through most of my day, but I do feel an energy drop-off around the last 2 hours of my shift. I usually start my eating window (4 hours) once I get home so I can actually sit and slowly eat my meal and not feel rushed to eat during a work break.

Answer

Hey, I work at Amazon too! lol Sounds like we have the same fasting plan too. I eat after work.

The last couple of hours on shift are killer! What has helped me is supplementing with nutritional yeast and ashwaganda to maintain drive, focus, and positive energy. I also pace myself to make rate, but make sure to walk to the water cooler every once in awhile for a refreshment.

I usually eat a small lunch at my lunch break and then a larger dinner and then fast till lunch again. One thing I’ve noticed with IF and a physical job is it makes it so much easier to lose weight because you are basically exercising fasted all day long

My feed window is all over the place. Sometimes I do multiple days, sometimes ADF, sometimes 36 hours. My norm is omad, eating either omat like 5 am or 11am ish. The only thing I’m really conscious of when getting a workout or a hot day outside is ensuring my electrolytes are topped up in advance

Perhaps a protein bar with 2 or 3 hours left in shift, then meal a few hours later at home is a consideration
