What’s vitamin C good for? And how much do you need?
I know a lot of people think vitamin C prevents random illness, but from what I understand that’s just an urban legend. I also know back in the old days sailors would get scurvy and die due to a lack of vitamin C. But that’s no longer relevant in this day and age.
So then what exactly is the benefit of hitting that daily goal of vitamin C? And how much do you need? 90mg per day?
Just wondering if I need to start putting even more green bell peppers into my meals.
Weight gain question
I’m currently on a 4K cal diet and For the past 4-5 weeks I’ve been gaining about 5-7lbs a week. This week though I only gained 0.4lbs while still eating the same.
I heard someone say that exercise could help absorb the calories and build muscle, and muscle would be unlikely to go away helping me gain “permeant” weight.
I also was wonder is the value of the calories even worth worrying about, like I have these supplements that have 30g of added sugar and I drink about 5-6 a day. I normally end the day with 200g of sugar. I have a pretty balanced diet otherwise (about 50% carbs, about 20% protein, and about 30% fat)
