Simple Homemade Electrolyte Drink?

Are there any 1 ingredient drinks out there? Not sure if I’m missing anything, but most videos I’ve seen have been big concoctions.

Does a literal half lemon squeezed into water do anything? Or just fucking salt and water?

Thanks!

Answer

Sea salt in water will do just fine. Table salt is 98% sodium so it’s not good for what you’re trying to do. Sea salt is usually \~85% sodium and the rest is the minerals you’re looking for.

Lemon juice is good too.

Some people drink a little bit of pickle juice.

You don’t need to get too fancy with it, those concoctions are just influencer things for content sake.

Answer

Someone used a lemon to make the electrolyte drink more palatable. You can use other flavorings if you wish. Drinking it unflavored is like drinking seawater.

The simplest electrolyte drink is a measure of your daily ration of table salt, a measure of your daily ration of potasium in Lo-Salt, disolved in your daily ration of plain water. If you can drink it, there is no need to use lemons or any other flavorings.

Many people will add their daily ration of magnesium in the electrolyte drink; three birds, one stone. Flavorings or no flavorings, it’s up to your preferences.

Answer

2 litres of Snake Juice takes under a minute to make, it’s 3 salts and baking soda, added to water, measured with teaspoons. That’s it.

If you want 1 ingredient then you’ll have to go for pre-mixed powders. But that’s going to cost you much more, and the ratios will likely be designed for people who aren’t fasting, they assume you are already getting some electrolytes from food.
