So is rapid dehydration the goal for maximizing fat loss in dry fast ?

It sounds like that is the goal - get to a dehydrated state, and then hope the body starts autophagy for water.

If it IS the case that rapid water-loss is wanted (dehydration), then having very high water intake in the days before, not re-taking salt (retains water) and making yourself lightly sweat staying hot would be the ‘classic’ way to lose water rapidly…

If you don’t care about fat loss, and only want to get through the fast as long and comfortably as possible, then having salt and NOT sweating would be more sustainable.

Obviously, being dehydrated comes with risk.

Answer

Not everyone is doing dry fasting just for weight loss. There are many other benefits and healing that take place during a dry fast. It helped me get rid of acne, loose skin, joint pains etc. Weight loss is an added benefit, prolonged dehydration does come with risks but through experience with dry fasting you’ll be surprised what the body is capable of.
