So this is my Day One

Does anyone have an app they like to stay on track? I’m starting 18:6. May occasionally have days I do 16:8 depending on work schedule.

Can I drink Spindrift during my fast? 3 calories per can, no sweeteners. Or is it best to stick to straight water?

Any really simple resources to get started? I only know the very basics but I really don’t want to over complicate it for myself.

Also, when did you start seeing weight loss? Thanks so much!

good luck! for apps, I personally enjoy using fastic to keep track. its free and offers enough cheat day tokens so you can keep your streak going without guilt. Maybe I’m a simpleton but that’s important to me.

Most here will say that any calories or artifical sweetners will break a fast, so I would stay clear.

As for how fast things start, you will probably see a huge loss in the first week from water weight, the trick is to not be discouraged in the coming weeks when it slows down. 1 per week is a very good rate.

A free app I use is called Fasting Tacker. It’s straightforward to use. It’s got tips and lessons about IF and shows you what fasting stage your body is on based on number of hours you’ve been fasted. I keep it on my notifications to see how many hours I’m at.

You might be ok w spindrift lemon or lemon/tea since the flavor comes from non-sweet fruit, but I would stay away from the others. A cheaper option would be unflavored mineral or sparkling option with a squeeze of fresh lemon.
