Hi everyone
I’m studying towards my bachelors degree in Nutrition, I’ve just finished my second year and am currently on my summer break (I am in New Zealand)
I’m really passionate about nutrition and keen to learn more for fun- does anyone have any suggestions of interesting online resources such as videos/reports/lectures (Preferably free if possible)- I would be keen to learn about anything thats suitable for a student halfway through their undergrad degree!
Thank you everyone !!
DietitianLife (an australian-based company) is very active online and will respond to questions on their instagram. They have a podcast as well.
AllAcessDietetics (american company) has well-written resources for any nutrition professional (student, intern, dietitian). I personally used their resources to study for the RD exam and found it very useful.
Pubmed, gotta find those research studies
I’d look up podcasts as well, i haven’t looked in a while.
I would suggest you read something adjacent. It is about food and cooking. It could greatly help in understanding how you couldActually make food that’s nice and appropriate for the nutritional need.
Harold McGee -on food and cooking.
This because I have never met a dietitian that had any real knowledge of food and preparation itself. People I know are quite unhappy with dietitians they know.
