Those with young kids, what’s your window?

Due to having a little one, I have to get up early (6am). I also work late, getting home around 7:30pm and going to bed around 9:30pm.

I was originally going to have my eating window be to skip breakfast and eat lunch and dinner, so that we could eat as a family for dinner. But I have a couple issues:

I feel like I’m a zombie till I have my morning caffeine. I can’t drink coffee so I begrudgingly drink tea. However this can be hard because it seems to activate my stomach a lot and make me even hungrier. I don’t know how others can say it suppresses their appetite bc it seems to do the opposite for me. So when I get to lunch I’m ravenous and can end up binging. It helps to eat with the caffeine bc I’m less hungry actually.

BUT When I think about skipping dinner and not eating after 2:30pm, I’m also ravenous by the time I lay down and I can’t sleep. That’s just a long time I feel like, to not eat for 7 hours and go to bed on an empty stomach. And then I don’t eat dinner with family.

Does anyone have suggestions on what works for them that I could maybe use?

I do 16:8 - I start eating at 12pm and stop at 6pm. Caffeine pills (I take 1 at 5:45 am and another at 11) to get me to lunch time. I have a protein shake and salad for lunch at 12 and then dinner with the family at 5!

I eat dinner with my kids around 6, then don’t eat till lunch around 11/12.

I put a splash of milk in my morning tea, not pure fasting but I’m down almost 50lb so it doesn’t hurt too much.

I am usually starving by lunch time and like to eat a big lunch around 1000 calories, then a light dinner.
