I have been seeing a lot of contradicting information on if stevia is ok to consume while fasting without breaking it.
What are peoples thoughts on flavouring your water with stevia while on a fast? Does this break it?
Haven’t had stevia but i had diet coke (aspartame) once on a pretty long fast and I felt like it definitely was not a good move. It made me so hungry that I broke my fast. Fasting is a way for you body to clean itself of all the unnatural bs food products you ingest so adding more bs science food is not really beneficial in my opinion
What’s the goal of your fasting? Always start from there.
If you want a full gut rest, or reset your food eating habits - stay away.
If you are looking to loose some fat or boost autophagy - than it won’t mess with that per say. But it will rock the boat, possibly stimulating cephalic insulin response and dropping blood sugar. That can make the whole experience harder.
On the other hand - if it helps you to drink more water and fast longer, then go for it.
