Water intake during intermittent fasting

I am using an app (mainly for its “countdown to next meal”) during fasting. It also tells me that I need to drink like 3.7 lt (15 fl.oz or 1 gallon) of water each day. I know that this kind of weight loss is very diuretic and I need the extra water, but 3.7 lt?? I’m not super overweight either. 190 lbs and 5’11. What kind of water intake are you guys shooting for, and what results do you have? Do you think 3.7 lt. is too much?

Answer

Water needs change daily. I drink when I’m thirsty. I’m usually at around 80oz of water daily, but a couple of days ago I got to about 104oz. I don’t think I’ve ever had a full gallon. That’s a lot of water.
