Weight Lifting and Fasting

I am sure, it’s been talked about ad nauseam on this but I am curious how people exercise, specifically weight lift, while fasting. How long do you fast? Does it affect your weight lifting, etc.

Not weightlifting, but I didn’t stop doing my everyday anaerobic workout when I decided to fast for 168 hours. \~141 hours in and I still don’t feel any debuffs. Here’s something I found odd: DOMS regenerate faster.

I run and do weights while fasted. It’s either 16:8, or a longer fasting time.

I probably would not run (at least nothing but a VERY slow & short jog) if I were doing an extended fast. Walking would probably be fine, though.

That said, I’ve never been one to be able to have ANY food in my stomach at all when running. As in, I need to wait 3-4 hours if I’ve eaten ANYTHING before I run. And I can’t eat for a few hours afterwards, either.

I still have nightmares about being forced to eat right after morning PT in basic training and puking my guts out every day.
