What kind of weight loss to expect from fasting 48-72 hours continuously for 3 months?

Hello everyone, I’m 37 / M / 6’0 / 360lbs. There is a bet going on in my company of who can lose the most weight by Thanksgiving. Everyday more and more people are adding to the pot, over 115 people total so far, and the pot is just under $14,000 currently. I’ve told myself earlier in the year that I really need to start losing weight by the end of the year, so the timing with this bet just works out perfectly. I figure it’s now or never.

Considering I have just over 3 months to lose as much as possible, I think the best way to go about it would be doing rotating fasts, eating once every 2-3 days, while drinking 2-3L of salt water daily. Most likely just a small meal like a couple tacos, or a sandwich etc.

What I wanted to ask some of you who have already done fasts like this is, what kind of weight loss could I expect to see?

If I were to eat 1 sandwich (on 0 carb bread) once every 48-72 hours for 3 months straight without any cheat days or breaks … how much weight would you guys estimate I could lose during that time, when starting at 360lbs?

Thanks!

If you stuck to it, you would pretty much certainly win the contest.

The thing about doing it in the contest is it makes your effort very visible. People will ask you a lot of questions and will overshare their shitty opinions, concern troll you, and possibly harass you.

Also if you regain your weight back, it’s a pretty public failure.

Up to you to decide if that’s worth it.

Personally I’d lose the weight, outside of the context.

Probably redundant, but DO NOT neglect drinking your snake juice! You’ll shed fat like crazy on this diet, but you’ll feel like trash without your salts and give up if you aren’t replenishing your electrolytes!

And then from experience: Stick with it and trust the process. On days of fasting, if the scale didn’t move, you’re just retaining water. Don’t lose faith in your body and just stick to the plan!

Good luck, have fun, and congratulations for winning the contest when you prove to yourself that you had the gumption to take control of your life!

Eat properly during refeeds and workout during fasts. Light cardio stuff like kettlebells or body weight full body workouts. You can loose 30-40 lbs in 3 months depending on your starting weight.

I was 240lbs and went down to 180lbs doing rolling 48’s. Mainly ate steak and guacamole in the beginning around 500-700 calories. As I had less fat I noticed I need to eat more to be able to recover. Currently on about 1500 cal refeeds. Mainly keto with some low carb fruits and dairy.

Most importantly sip snake juice throughout the day. Not just when you feel thirsty. Have the kidney shot (Apple cider vinegar, lemon juice) a couple times a week. Drink plain water after the 2-3L of snake juice or sip throughout the day. If you drink too much plain water you will just piss it all out.

Max half a pound per fasted day of actual bodyfat/recycled protein, after depleting glycogen stores and entering ketosis. At your size, 30-40lbs of waterweight/glycogen stores on top of that at the beginning. So theoretical max of around 75-85lbs of actual scale movement.
