What makes you decide to break your fast?

Im currently on a 5 day fast, 2 days in. I always feel the urge to eat and can go past that feeling. My question is assuming you don’t feel hungry after your goal. How do you chose when to break your fast? It just seems like it keeps getting easier as the hours pass. Maybe that will change.

Currently on day 9 of planned 14 days. It’s my third 14 days fast. I’m going to make this a recurring thing, once or maybe even twice a year.

Tbh for me the problems with hunger and appetite are

  1. only in the beginning
  2. are mostly of psychological nature, “I could… that looks tasty… man, my neighbour’s food smells awesome… lets just open that canned corn lol…” or the envy when friends go out for pizza or start to eat M&Ms etc.

All that goes mostly away after like day 3-5. The first time I fasted I had to even force myself to eat something again after 14 days and I only did it out of fear of bad consequences. Honestly I do believe your fasting period is too short to experience the calm “nah, don’t need that” thoughts that I am having right now.

Your body will tell you. The better prepped you are for your fast, the longer you’ll last. My sweet spot is around day 5 or 6, so I’m just doing Monday thru Friday fasts and eating omad keto over the weekend.
