7 days is my maximum so far mostly because every weekend i go to visit my girlfriend at her house.
Her mother is ADAMANT that i cannot leave without eating something and will feel heavily insulted if i refuse food.
Currently on my longest fast- 98 hours and counting.
As has been said before in other comments, electrolytes are key, as is staying in tune with your body.
I also like to make sure I’m super hydrated before going into any prolonged fast. I think I drank almost 4 liters of water each day for the two days leading up to the start of my current fast.
49 hours. It was meant to be my usual 1 meal a day but then there was the call from urgent care, the drive to the hospital, my husband’s emergency surgery…
I never thought I’d be able to do extended fasting but I’m gearing up for a 4 day fast starting on Friday.
going to start water fasting tmrw, really hoping to go for the rest of march (21 days) although i have never been able to get past 5 days due to extreme lightheadedness, so im not sure i will make it that far. i do take electrolytes, but it’s possible i’m not taking enough ?? i also expect that this side effect is due to my already below normal blood pressure and vegan college student diet (lots of carbs lol). i really want to crack on past the one week mark to experience the mental and emotional benefits that some people speak of. any advice for dealing with feeling faint/weak during fasting would be much appreciated !
