Best time of the day to start a 3 day fast?
I prefer to start around 3 pm. Have a good meal before that. That’ll last me before bedtime (having a little appetite before bed) and gets me 8 hours of sleep for ‘free’. Wake up, shower, coffee and 2/3 of day 1 is gone being almost in ketosis if you haven’t started in ketosis. (Which I prefer, to start in ketosis)
I, personally, would start at noon-ish. That way you can have a good meal and likely go to bed that 1st night not too hungry. Then on the 3rd day, you can open at lunch and not have to wait that entire day to eat. And then you can have 2 meals if you want.
In my mind, by eating early to start and early to open your window, you only have 2 afternoon and evening to get through 😉. It’s definitely a mental game.
I usually start fasting after dinner and then resume eating a few hours after waking, so my fasts are usually around 36, 60, or 84 hours in length. I feel like I get in the most full days that way, but fasting after a good meal where you’re not hungry the rest of the day is also good.
