That is the worst lol. My family and I do “celebration days” where usually for somebody’s birthday or something we gather at a restaurant and don’t follow any dietary restrictions (we are all kind of in different stages of healing/keto/if/weightloss). Basically a cheat day but we don’t like that verbiage. Anyways, yeah last time it was my turn to choose the restaurant we went to this formerly great Italian restaurant. Our family had been eating there for 20+ years. Well it changed ownership evidently during the pandemic and it was AWFUL. Like one of the worst meals ever. I was so pissed off I had wasted a celebration day on it.

I don’t do OMAD, I do 16/8, but same thing applies - I feel your pain. I still track calories so if I’ve saved loads of calories all day to blow it on a really nice meal, then the meal sucks…… OUTRAGED! It’s really hard when you’ve waited so long for it. Have a good rant and if you get hungry later maybe don’t be too hard on yourself and have something to eat that will make you smile.

I’ve saved calories today actually for a Thai meal tonight. I hope it’s good!

Yeah I always pack a few things in my bag that I know I like just in case - like Quest protein bars, tuna cans, or beef sticks.

That way, I’m never forced to eat anything I don’t like or are too carb heavy due to hunger.
