Hi, I’m on the final stretch of a 48hr fast but I’m wondering if my morning bulletproof coffee might have broken it.
I add 1g of Chaga mushroom and 1g of Lion’s Mane to Butter and MCT oil. I know the fats aren’t breaking it, but as far as I understand, anything greater than >1g of carbs or protein in a day will break a fast. So is 2g of mushrooms going to significantly impede autophagy, or is it more or less fine?
Guess next time I will just drop the Chaga

What are your goals?
Are you trying to reduce calories you consume on a weekly basis? Then yes that bullet proof coffee is fine towards the end of a 48.
Is your goal to maximize autophagy and other benefits of fasting? Then yes that bullet proof coffee breaks the fast and will trigger some level of a digestive response.
