1 week of fasting

I hope this is okay to ask, but does anyone have experience with doing week fasts? I want to try it (I’ve done 72hr in the past) and I would just like an idea of how much weight people lose. Having a numerical figure in my head would help to keep me motivated.

You will typically lose .5-.75 lb of fat per day in my experience. So a week should burn about 3.5-6lbs. Some people claim to lose up to 1 lb of fat per day but in my experience it’s closer to .5 lb per day. Your body is also going through damaged proteins, cells and other unnecessary energy expenditures. So even if after the water weight comes back, you “only” lost 3 lbs, it’s a much more substantial 3 lbs than eating below tdee and exercising to lose 3 lbs. Just be sure to get enough water and electrolytes!!!

I think there are a lot of factors from balanced nutrition leading in and supplements like salts during. The biggest factor going in is starting weight though. A 300lb person should lose more that a 220lb person on CICO alone.

That said, take your x calories base / 3500 and it should be somewhere around that. If you have extra fat, the autophagy will pull more once it hits stride.
