Wanted to start this day 1 but couldn’t, thank you to all on this thread who helped me boost my Reddit “Karma” so I can have enough to post. I documented in my notes the past 7 days so I wouldn’t forget anything but here it is! Feel free to ask me any questions or mental tips I’ve used to push through the hard times!
Day 1: Hungry AF, starting weight 204.4 pounds
Day 2: The most miserable day so far, had to keep talking myself out of breaking fast constantly.
Day 3: Hunger felt relieved until a couple hours before bed time, the last couple hours felt like day 2.
Day 4: I’m not hungry anymore?? The day carried on and I was not hungry, this is where you get in that mind state to make sure you finish the 30 days to make the first 3 terrible days worth it.
Day 5: Experienced stomach growls and tense stomach almost like I was hungry but still had no desire to eat and crave food like in first 3 days. Feel like I’m consuming a tad bit more water today than the other days but not much, thus going to the bathroom a few more times. Morning weight check was 189.5
Day 6: Was fine all day but just before bed felt a burning sensation in my left shoulder which has already been a burden for about 8 years now. Thinking this is my body healing because it’s more of a burn ache rather than just an ache. Morning Weight: 188.3
Day 7: sleep schedule was def messed with last night. Sleep 3 hours, up for 15 minutes, sleep 3 hours up for 10 mins etc. I think body is still trying to normalize the fast as routine. Also had my first poop since day 3 today. It was one little drop but at least I know everything is working properly and body is getting rid of toxins. Morning weight: 187.0
Day 8(Today): 1 WEEK DOWN BABY!! So far so good, probably the easiest day overall yet. I think my body is almost completely adapted to being in a fasted state. Since day 4 I began cooking again for my girlfriend because I’m the head chef, but today when I cooked I literally had no desire to even eat at all, smelt amazing though cause I am an amazing cook just saying. Is it weird that the smell of food actually satisfies me now just as a candle or scent would satisfy someone? Best comparison I could make😂 Morning weight: 186.0 Pounds 💪
Day 9: To be continued…
Whoohoo!! I also started a week ago Sunday evening and am going strong. Today was the roughest day for me, but I’m setting my goals for 7 days at a time and then if I’m good I will continue. Great work!
My goal was 21 days. It’s my fault though for I could have controlled it I reckon but it’s hard when your bedroom is also a hang out spot. My partner ate dinner at our computer desk and the smell of food filled my room and I just gave in 😂 It’s now a new rule to not eat at his pc when I am fasting since our setup is in my bedroom and it’s just not fair lol
