5 day fast questions

I’m doing a 5 day fast starting tomorrow. Just wanted to know how much anyone has lost doing a 5 day fast and the changes they saw. Just for motivation ❤️

I’ve done several 5 day water fasts over the years and had varied results. The most I’ve lost is 7KG (86 to 79) but I will state that on my first day I did a 5km run and again on the second day. The idea was to burn up whatever food was in my stomach and get into Ketosis ASAP. I always start with some form of exercise in the morning of the first day, a long walk is also good (depending on fitness levels and health status, for sire not recommendedfor everyone). I tend to do a fair bit of walking during my fasts…mainly out of boredom.

As for changes, they also vary quite a lot which I guess depends a bit on what you’ve been doing in the months prior. My first fast was really an eye opener in what changed from clarity of thought to my hand eye coordination improving. I also noticed blemishes on my skin clearing up, skin tags falling off and one of the nicest changes of all, I was barely sweating on walks for days number 4 and 5 which is impressive considering I am in Thailand with +30 Celsius.

I’ll be starting one on Jan 1st like most years to clear out some holiday toxins and kick start the year in a positive way. Aiming for at least 5 days but would like to push it to 7…. I’ll see how things go.
