I might strongly suggest you not do any sort of workout, or at a minimum nothing after day 1 or 2. Walk out in nature, listen to your body. It’ll be kicking into high gear in terms of autophagy by day three. Focus on the healing. Have a very intentional refeeding plan ready to go after day 7.

Think of it as setting yourself up for long term success in weight management. You will burn a lot of fat and you’ll have significant water weight loss during the DF. You will (and should) regain water weight on breaking the fast. Long term, assuming you have a good refeeding plan (please don’t overload on sugar or heavily processed foods on breaking the fast) you will have a different relationship to food entirely and I think it’ll help you meet and maintain your goals. But again, think of this as a marathon, not a sprint.

Answer

Just walking and light stretching if it’s your first 7 day. At your weight to height you shouldn’t have too much issue after the first two days. Once your insulin is in your boots your body will have plenty to work with. Just keep yourself occupied and take it easy. Read a good book about mental fitness that you can integrate into the fast
