Please remove if not allowed - sorry mods! On the 28th I broke a 28 day fast by sipping bone broth for two days. On the first I had my first solid foods, basically an avocado, bone broth and a little peanut butter.
Yesterday two eggs, 1/2 avocado, a little of the chicken piccata I had to make (most for tasting purposes for a church meal), and a salad.
I still haven’t had a bowel movement, every time I think It might be one it is just gas. Had a tiny bit of something when I started bone broth but then nothing.
I’ve been sipping senna tea since yesterday and took a psyllium capsule yesterday.
What else should I do-? When should I be worried?
Edit: yes it was a water fast, supplemented with electrolytes.
When you’re body has been without food for so long it may need bulk to make it push through the system. Unless your bloated, experiencing pain or discomfort I wouldn’t worry. Are you planning to start eating more regular or what’s the deal?
It’s not a good strategy to be without food for longer periods. You probably should find a more regular intermittent fasting routine or do every other day feeding or such. But know that with the small amounts of food you’re eating nothings gonna come out.
It’s harder to eat after a short fast. Don’tthink too much. It’s going to take a few days to get everything running like normal.
I find probiotics/kefir/yogurt help settle my stomach but you sound fine so far.
