Best food to break fast with

Looking for some food ideas for my vegetarian self to introduce over the next few days. With the emphasis on nutrition and bowel health.

I am on day 7 of a fast. Had water and green tea in this time. I started it to try and improve my bowel health after weeks of loose movements following a vomitting and diarrhoea illness.

My last previous fast was for a week about a decade ago. I donā€™t do intermittent fasting.

I am aware my digestive system will not be ready for complex or fatty foods just yet, not large quantities.

I wish to stay dairy free for a period, again for reasons of gut health.

Any suggestions would be amazing, thank you šŸ˜

i did like dr fung suggested and didnā€™t have the runs.

just start out with something tiny, wait 30 min to an hour before having something else.

i had bone broth at night ,waited ,1 date , waited , 1 date .

the next day i made some whole food vegetarian recipes from dr Fuhrman cookbooks and sidechef app to focus on refeeding with whole foods over the next couple of days

do you have a vitamix ? a food processor ?

Nicely done! I am breaking my 7 day tomorrow and had wondered the same sort of thing. Instead of bone broth you could do something like a vegetarian Japanese clear soup to start (super easy to make) or even use some veg stock for egg drop soup if you eat eggs. Iā€™m going to then move from broth to a ā€œketo ramenā€ for dinner using a tiny amount of miracle noodles veg and protein. For some reason I feel like very light Asian cuisine will be a nice soothing way to come back in to food. Hope this helps and great job!
