I started by doing 18:6. I did ok on that range but wasn’t losing weight. I was drinking coffee in the morning with sugar free creamer. Was that my villain keeping me from losing?
Realistically no, it’s like no one is gaining weight from eating too many bananas. Make sure you’re staying under your TDEE and it’ll come off. Cutting out a splash of cream isn’t gonna make the weight fall off though
In an absolutely ideal fasting world you wouldn’t drink any calories in your fasting period, but don’t let the best be the enemy of the good.
I feel pretty confident that it was your total daily calories vs the creamer.
I’ve been using sugar free creamers and some diet sodas sometimes and while I initially lost weight, I’ve stalled for a long time. I’m increasing my fasting window and cutting out artificial sweetners during it as well. Many artificial sweetners are so much sweeter than regular sugar that they can cause insulin spikes.
