Other than not losing as much weight obviously. Are there negative health effects when choosing to drink little water compared to no water?
It depends on where you’re getting your water source, but most people overdrink as it is. Being completely dry kicks the body into the healing of dry fasting. You won’t experience the benefits of it if you’re drinking water, but your body will still thank you for not drinking too much water
Idk if you mean cups as in literal measurements or in a glass of water, but I’d probably say I consume 1/2 or 1 cup literal measurement everyday during some of my dry fast between oral care and having to take pills.
Scientifically there’s a difference, I’m not going to explain it out as for most people the technical aspect doesn’t matter so here’s my direct experience from dry fasting with absolutely no water and dry fasting with around a cup.
Weight loss - not much of a difference, .1-.3 if at allEnergy - none Throat soreness - brief relief when water is consumed but not a whole lot afterHunger - drinking makes me a bit hungrier would for sure recommend drinking your cup in the morning if possible, I find less hunger then than at night.Healing effects with skin MY CASE - was behind 1-2 days but had same overall affects.Bad days - aka setting in : way way worse when small amounts of water are consumed for me I deal with it but hard dry fasting my bad day was just one day normally the third then I was good, this way days 2-4 maybe 5 tend to be pretty difficult even with salt.
To note this still isn’t long term sustainable by any means and will lead to issues if proper rehydration isn’t done similar to dry fasting. If you want a dry fasting weight loss schedule that is sustainable for longer do alternate day and build - aka. Dry fast 1 day, water fast next, then work up to 2 days dry 1 wet and so forth. Can also practice having a drinking window, I do 6am-11:30 no fluids after, drink the recommended amount or more in this time frame.
I’ve heard people having benefits by just reducing their fluid intake. The benefits were related to digestion, autoimmune disease or hair.
There was a study on epilepsy where children had great improvement of their symptoms when their fluid intakes were importantly reduced.
