Do you think my goal is reasonable?

I weighted in at 250 a few days ago and I’m on day 3 of a 63 day water fast. One of the reasons why I chose fasting is because my doctor told me that I’m pre-diabetic, and fasting has many healing benefits, but the main reason was because of the quick weight loss. I’m sick of being fat and I’m ready to make a long lasting change. I want to get down to atleast 150-160 by august because of my sisters wedding, but I worry that it might be too drastic. I’m only 5’0 tall so 150 isn’t even close to where I should be, but it’s enough for me to feel even somewhat confident before I go in and lose the extra 20-50. If you have any kind of advice that would be appreciated. I’ve been lurking here for a while and have completed a 20 day fast in the past so I know what I’m doing, but some wisdom would be nice.

Answer

I recommend starting with low carb/keto to get your body accustomed to burning fat as fuel. It helps in a lot of ways. Of course, it seems you’ve already started, but if you need to stop prematurely, it’s an idea before you start again.
