Is this a reasonable goal?

I’m currently 293 lbs at 5’6. I’d like to water fast until I am 250 lbs, refeed for a bit, then start another fast. Is this reasonable?

I started about 285 on April 12 and today hit 256. It’s possible but would recommend shorter fasting to start with, but only cause that’s my experience. Some say you can jump right in.

I started with omad but that wasn’t working for me mentally, so I did 3 days a few refeed days then 4, 5, 6, and I’m on day 4 of my 7 day fast. I usually get a few refeed days in between each fast. My weight goes up a little but but I jump right back in before it hits the last high.

I want this to be more long term and I don’t want it to affect my life too much, so I usually break for some sort of social event. I try to eat keto as best as I can but like I said long term goals. I indulge but don’t binge.

I think that really depends on your experience fasting, how quickly you lose weight during fasting because that’ll affect how long it’ll take, and how much fat you have to lose.

If you’re new to fasting you may want to start smaller and work your way up to extended fasting
