Does anyone have experience with smart scales?

I’ve looked at a dozen models on amazon ranging from 60-150$ that claim to measure BMI, bone density, water retention, etc.

I think it would be great to have a measure for water retention especially. I’m wondering how accurate and reliable they are though. Thoughts?

I got mine on vanity (planet?).com. I used the code from Abby Pollock on YouTube. With the code it went froma$150 to about $60 so it was a steal. She has a video that explains how to use it. Setting it up for me was pretty easy. I highly recommend it. I’m not good with scales in general so I force myself not to get on it too much but it helped me focus my goals. I realized I actually had a high muscle mass percentage but I also have high body fat so I’m working in cutting fat while maintaining muscle.

I bought a Withing body comp scale years ago and it still works well. I like it because it logs my weight/body fat into MyFitnessPal for me. I recently got a DEXA scan and it said I have 46% body fat but my scale usually has 44%-ish, so pretty close but not as accurate. Since I started fasting and OMAD, the body fat is going down so hopefully my next DEXA scan will show fat loss as well.
