Does fasting make you not crave food at all?

I fasted 5 days this week and decided the schedule I’ll stick to is fasting Monday-Friday and eating on the weekends. I didn’t even want to eat anything today and yesterday and am like fighting the urge to just throw out all the food I have in my fridge so I can’t eat for a while. I already won’t be eating until next Saturday, at the earliest anyway, but I don’t even want to see food until I drop more weight. This fast only dropped about 2 pounds and I’m really disappointed.

Answer

I wouldn’t say that. But there is a neat little psychological trick about it: while you’re fasting you have a goal. You want to keep it up until you’re done. The strictness helps not to fall into having little snacks here and there.

And also you don’t have rising and falling blood sugar levels which is often the cause of cravings outside of proper meals.

5 days, wow! I can go 18 hours, maybe 20. That 2 pounds is still a success! From what I understand IF will be up and down. If the scale is not moving, maybe your inches are. Have you measured before and after? I think a congratulations is still in order.
